ALBERT ROBIN SALON / NORTH MIAMI
Highlights & Balayage — North Miami
Light placement is a design decision.
Precision highlights and balayage are not interchangeable names for adding blonde. At Albert Robin Salon on NE 123rd Street in North Miami, Master Colorist Albert Robin chooses the placement, density and processing method around your natural base, existing color, hair condition and the effect you want to maintain.
Whether you prefer discreet face-framing brightness, very fine babylights, a controlled partial highlight, or a richer full balayage, the goal is deliberate dimension with no unnecessary chemical work. Your color is designed for how the hair moves—not only for how it appears in one photograph.

Three Routes to Dimensional Color
Face-Framing & Partial Highlights
Strategically brighten the hairline, crown or other selected zones while preserving depth where it supports the shape. A full-head appointment may be unnecessary for a small, well-planned change.
Fine Babylights & Full Foils
Dense, precise placement can create refined brightness from roots to ends. The amount of natural color left between foils determines how soft or luminous the result appears.
Balayage & Custom Dimension
A bespoke blend of light and shadow can produce gentler transitions and an individual regrowth pattern. The result depends on the starting color, amount of lift and chosen maintenance plan.
Color Work That Respects the Hair
Previously colored and repeatedly highlighted hair often contains more than one chemical history. A blonde result depends on what can safely be lifted, what may remain warm, and where selective toning is appropriate. Albert distinguishes routine brightening from color correction, particularly when banding, unexpected darkness or vulnerable ends are involved.
When a transformation requires major lifting or platinum work, consult the Platinum Blonde Specialist guide and Advanced Color Correction. For permanent color and gray coverage, see Luxury Hair Color — North Miami.

Planning Before Processing
Discuss your previous color applications, smoothing treatments, home coloring, and the maintenance frequency you prefer. That information determines whether lightening should be done in one appointment or in stages.
Standard toning is included with eligible highlighting services when needed; complex corrective work is assessed separately. See the Service Menu for current starting prices and service categories.

North Miami Highlights & Balayage FAQs
Are babylights the same as balayage?
No. Babylights typically use very fine sections and precisely planned placement; balayage describes a different approach to dimensional lightening. Albert may combine techniques when doing so serves the desired result.
Can a darker color become platinum in one appointment?
Sometimes, but it cannot be promised from a photograph alone. Previous dye, density, porosity and fiber strength determine how much lift is suitable.
Should I book a consultation before a major color change?
Major transformations and color correction deserve an individual assessment. A plan can establish achievable lightness, appropriate timing and the pricing before processing begins.
